WhatsApp update brings a new look to the camera icon – The dark mode is not yet visible

According to reports, WhatsApp is receiving a new update on Android that brings some changes to the user interface. In particular, the new update is available only for beta users, but should eventually be implemented for the stable version of the application. Now there is a new icon for the camera, as well as chats and WhatsApp status. The update also corrects an error that causes the application to crash when a voice message is played. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the dark mode will officially arrive for all users.

WhatsApp update brings a new look to the camera icon

WABetaInfo has shared how the new camera icon looks and, honestly, it is not very different from the previous version. It seems that a normal viewer for chats and WhatsApp status has been added. The icon is on a large background in a green tone. We can also expect a new camera icon to be seen once the dark mode is displayed. As mentioned earlier, the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android version 2.19.328 does not yet offer dark mode.

A couple of days ago, the good people of WABetaInfo suggested in a new tweet that the Dark Mode of WhatsApp for Android and iOS is now ready. “For both platforms (iOS and Android) there is no release date available. I understand that you are no longer patient because you see that other applications obtained the Dark Theme quickly … but it really seems that we are closer to obtaining the Dark Theme in WhatsApp, ”said WABetaInfo in a tweet.

New dark wallpaper was detected in a beta version of WhatsApp for Android, which is expected to be part of the entire Dark Mode theme package. WhatsApp beta 2.19.327 for Android introduced the darker wallpaper, shortly after a previous beta version showed a new teal wallpaper.
