How to get an old-age pension?

Senior citizens aged from 60 to 79 years are given pension benefits at the rate of Rs 300-1000 every month. Of this amount, 200 rupees is given as contribution by the Government of India and the remaining amount by the State Government.

Amounts are given as Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension at the rate of 500 rupees per month to the elderly aged 80 years or more.

Older persons aged 60 or above from the BPL family can also apply to the National Old Age Pension Scheme at the block level RTPS office in every district.
